Introduction
The idea behind this beatdown was to remove counts as a distraction to doing proper form and push ourselves to muscle failure.
Warm-O-Rama
Daisy pickers, mountain pose, Willie Mays Hayes, motivators, downward dog, Arm circles, and abe vigodas
The Thang
This was an AMRAP workout where we cycled through OHP, Weighted Squat, Curls, Lunges, Chest Press, Bent Over Row, Skull Crusher, and Hand Release Merkin. The “timer” was one PAX completing a sandbag throw, a 40 yard sprint where they completed 5 Slams with a 20lb ball sprint back and cary the sandbag back to the starting point.
We switched exercises as each PAX returned.
Mary was some static squats, crunches, and some stretching.
Circle of Trust
COT was paraphrasing a blog post from John Lovell. “While comfort can be a good thing, seeking comfort at the wrong time in the wrong way can send us to an early grave — both physically and spiritually. What disciplines will you begin to establish to inch you more and more in the right direction? Who do you have in your life to help strengthen you in your weakest areas? How are you training yourself and preparing yourself daily for the battles–both physical and spiritual–that are coming your way?”
Naked Man Moleskin
We have a great thing in the fellowship that F3 provides us. But we still need to choose to be uncomfortable. Don’t cheat ourselves in taking an easier path. Do the full exercise. Make the correct choice not the easy choice. Don’t settle. The only number that’s important is that 1% better that we pursue every day.
