I want to start with this quote

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more.  If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you’ll never have enough.”

For many years, I was that person that kept dwelling on what I didn’t have or the bad things that happened and I lost sight of the idea of being thankful and grateful for the gifts in my life.  I became depressed and lived in a dark place where I felt like nothing I did mattered.  I was existing.  Over the last few years, I made the decision to stop being that person.  It takes a conscious effort and some days are much harder than others but it has been life changing.  I stopped worrying about things outside of my control and focus on what I can control and the good things that happen in my life.  I joined F3 in August 2020 and had no self confidence and was an unhappy, very depressed individual.  I was able to get through some very tough times back in 2021 with the support of the friends and my counselor and I realized that the guy looking back at us everyday in the mirror is capable of overcoming even the greatest obstacles.  Be thankful for the good in your life.  In those dark days, I made it through by focusing on the good things in my life and took it one day at a time.  If any of you are struggling in any area such as with a spouse, ex wife, job, finances or whatever, just remember you are never alone.  Talk to someone.  If you can’t think of anyone, call me and I will be therefor you no matter the time of the day or night.  I have met with several F3 brothers who were thinking some dark thoughts even in the middle of the night and I have helped them to know that they are never alone.  I challenge you to think of one person who is going through some shit and reach out to them today.  A simple how are you doing text can let them know that they are not alone.

Aye?
