Introduction
It was a wet and unseasonably warm morning out in the gloom. As several Pax were rolling out of their cars, others were rolling back in from an EC run all warmed up and ready to go.
Warm-O-Rama
Went thru Disclaimer, Mission Statement, Core Principles and Motto as we completed the following:
Motivators (from 6)
Thai Fighters (10 In cadence both forward and backwards)
Abe Vigodas (10 in cadence)
Daisy Picker (10 count)
All Pax were sufficiently warmed up and stretched out.
The Thang
Thang 1: A 2-Stop Pearls on a String
-First stop at the concession stand by the baseball fields. Channeled 1040EZ and we all “Grabbed some Wall” on the landscaping wall to complete sets of 15 Dips and 10 Dirkens twice. Then moseyed.
-Second Stop at the equipment shed by the skate park. We did wall sits and took turns expressing 3 things for which we are grateful. There was some good sharing and we all got to know each other that little bit better. YHC discussed the physiology of gratitude whereby expressing gratefulness releases chemicals in your brain that make it impossible to be both grateful and angry at the same time. We all discussed mindfulness to maintain calm control in high stress situations.
Thang 2: The Colosseum Gasser
When YHC was in 7th grade, the catholic school would not allow the basketball coach to use the term “suicides” for the common conditioning exercise, so they were called “Gassers”. For the Colosseum Gasser, we started at one end of the Parking Lot, “Base”, and did 20 curls and 20 OHP.
Mosey 1/4 the length of the parking lot for 20 Burpees then Bear Crawl back to base for 20 Curls and 20 OHP.
Mosey 1/2 the length of the parking lot for 40 Air Squats then Lunge Walk back to base for 20 Curls and 20 OHP.
Mosey 3/4 the length of the parking lot for 60 Big Boys then Mario Leap back to base for 20 Curls and 20 OHP.
Mosey full length of the parking lot for 80 Grady Corns then Bernie Sanders back to base for 20 Curls and 20 OHP.
Rinse and Repeat was in effect, but most only finished one full cycle.
Mary:
Pickle Pushers (10 In Cadence)
4-Count Leg Lifts (10 in Cadence)
Leg Elevators (10)
Big Boys (10)

Circle of Trust
AAR involved a discussion around whether to say “Recover” after each exercise during Mary even though we were staying on our 6. Final decision was Yes, Q should say “Recover” after each one.
CoT: Total is National Day of the Deployed to honor US Military personnel deployed around the globe. YHC thanked all there were may have been deployed veterans and reminded all Pax to think about those who are or have deployed and the thank any that they may know personally. YHC also reminded all Pax to think about the families of all who are deployed and live under the stress of loved ones being over seas and yet needing to keep the home fire burning not knowing if today may be the day they get a call about the ultimate sacrifice.
We have a lot to be grateful for by being fortunate to live in this country. Let’s not ever forget Freedom ain’t free. Aye!
Ended with intentions and the Lord’s Prayer.
Naked Man Moleskin
Dear Abby set the pace in the gasser and Schlitz loved us all enough to make sure our form was proper. Our awesome site Q put the gas in “Gasser” more than once.
