For my CoT I wanted to talk about the impact that F3 has had on my life. Before joining F3 I had a void in my life, I was not in a good place physically or mentally. Mentally I felt like I was getting depressed, I was leaning on my wife for her to fix my depression when it wasn’t her problem to fix, it put a strain on our marriage to the point where I told her that once our son graduated high school I did not see us being together anymore. Physically I was out of shape and overweight, with that combination comes underlining health issues. Since joining F3 my life has turned around, my relationship with my M is better than it has ever been, I credit the Q Source meetings where I have learned to become a better man, husband, father and leader. Listening to other men that have faced similar struggles and their point of views and how they dealt with the obstacles they faced has helped the lines of communication open up for me and my M. We started doing Foundation’s HIIT classes together, she joined FIA and has made friends with the other M’s, shit now it’s to the point where she’s dragging me out to the Sunday Coffee Rucks and asking me if I’m posting at the Wood so we can drive together while she goes to FIA. In regards to my health, I feel stronger at the age of 49 than ever before, here are some numbers for perspective.
207 to 197
147 to 136
193 to 132
33 to 23
1.8 to 0.5
0.11 to 0.03
48 to 43
33.8 to 27.3
266 to 229
Guys, those numbers are some of the results from my blood work, the first number is from 7 months before starting F3 and the second number is from 5 months after starting F3. My cholesterol, bad cholesterol, triglycerides and everything else they tested for has dropped. This is the first time that I am excited to see my doctor at the end of the year for my annual physical to see where my numbers are after a full year of F3.
The day I started F3 I knew I had found what I was missing in my life. Day 1 I drank the F3 Kool-Aid, I ran home and jumped on the scale and I weighed in at 248lbs, the heaviest I have ever been in my life. This morning I weighed in at 228lbs, that’s a 20lb swing in a year, I did not make any drastic changes in my diet, I didn’t do keto, adkin’s or 75 hard, not that there’s anything wrong with them, I just put in the work. I realized I needed to do two things to make a change, to be committed and to be consistent. When I first came out I was only committed to myself, as it is written in Q Source Quadrant 1, I had to “Get Right” before I could “Lead Right”, not until I got right was I able to commit to my family and my extended family, my F3 brothers. I was being consistent with my fitness, today is day 365, out of the 365 days I have posted 261 times, that’s an average of 5 posts a week. Guys, it’s doable, there are 9 opportunities to officially post 6 days a week and that’s not counting the coffee ruck on Sunday’s. Someone at work told me that if you do something for 20 days straight that it becomes a habit, make F3 posts a positive habit.
And finally the number 7, I have brought out 7 FNG’s into the gloom. We’re not going to get any awards, prizes or recognition for how many FNG’s you bring out, but the reward should be watching that man accelerate, watching him become a better MAN, a better husband, a better father and a better leader. F3 is a gift, let’s give it away, it’s FREE!
AYE!

I warned the PAX that it was going to be a long winded CoT! I really should have read what I had written out instead of trying to memorize everything.
