Introduction
Wasn’t sure how today would go with tweaking my back again yesterday, but we’d all find out as a group if I’d need to be carried back to the flags.
Warm-O-Rama
Stretching calves, quads, lower back and hamstrings.
The Thang
We ran as a group around the big loop at the Ridge. The pace unconsciously increased each mile starting from around a 9:30 pace and ending around a 8:30 pace. I was gassed but made it around the loop 3 times if I included cutting down the path around the hill so we had time for Mary.
Circle of Trust
One, with my back giving me issues, I wasn’t sure I could lead today. Instead of an out and back, we did the loops so that I could make it back easier if something happened. At the end of the run, I completed my fastest 5k ever. There’s definitely something to the mindset of running with others.
I also covered how our brains are constantly filled with things we must do. I recently wrote down everything on my mental to do list and began completing them. It’s a load of my mind and I’ve been the most productive I’ve been in months. Start your list and take pride crossing those things off.
