Circle of Trust

I was baptized and confirmed but I’ve been questioning religion and it’s purpose for many years and while questioning I’ve started to explore different possibilities. For thousands of years religion has caused wars and violence, sexual assaults of men, women and children and consistently used to force people to do things they don’t want to do all in the name of their religion. Today different religions are still trying to force their beliefs on anyone who thinks differently and I’m really disgusted by it. I’m done with it.

What if we are thinking about religion and God in the wrong way? Perhaps there isn’t a God that looks down on us and watches over us but instead God is every living thing. All humans, all animals and plants, all living things in the universe collectively are GOD. Maybe what we should be focusing on, this thing that’s greater than ourselves, is the collection of all living things on this planet. Perhaps when Jesus walked the earth his words were misinterpreted and him being the son of God actually meant he was the son of all living things. I don’t know the answers, I’m asking questions because I think the way religion is used is flawed.

Regardless of whether I’m right or wrong or whether anyone else is right or wrong, I think it’s important to remember there is something bigger than just one individual.

Naked Man Moleskin

No naked men, which is a good thing in my opinion.
