Introduction

All excited to kick off the first Q v. Q battle of 2023.  The morning started off looking a little sketchy with heavy rain along with thunder and lightning and up until a few minutes before the battle began it was questionable whether or not we would get this battle started on time.  Thankfully the skies began to clear, and UPS didn’t get all dressed in costume for nothing.

@Rooney was the real hero for this workout having to coordinate all that was going on especially keeping Qs on time.  Announcements were completed and TAPs were performed.

Naked Man Moleskin

UPS talked about his downrange visit to an AO in Arizona and how a fairly new Nant’an who at one point was a soft-spoken guy who didn’t necessarily envision himself one day leading much of anything especially a region.  UPS mentioned this wasn’t much different than how he looked at himself, but that has changed.  UPS message was that we should look at pressure as a privilege.  Whether that be stepping into a new role you didn’t initially see yourself in or accepting a challenge to be the first to kick off QvQ for F3 Plainfield in 2023.  Pressure is not a bad thing, it’s a privilege.  Perspective…

YHC followed up with a short message just reiterating that all of us need to focus on our WHY?

UPS did an awesome job both leading up to (memes) and during the beatdown and had it not been for the washable markers he used on his boards that spelled out what we were supposed to do at each Station there’s a good chance he would be writing up this BackBlast instead of YHC.  Tons of creativity and some new movements YHC will likely steal and use in the future.  Great job UPS and looking forward to seeing you on the Q sheet more often 🙂 (YHC applying pressure)

Today was one of those days where it was real easy to stay in that ole’ fartsack of ours.  You didn’t need to get out of bed to check the weather to realize it was miserable out.  The rain was coming down hard, the thunder could be heard for miles and there were flashes of lightning.  Maybe a no brainer to some to just sleep in a little this morning.  No judgement here (you do you) but remember we don’t get up for easy!

The first time you pull an HC it might hurt a little, the next time it hurts less, the next time it hurts even less and the next time after that you barely feel it.  At some point you become numb to it, and you’ll soon find yourself right back on that sad clown couch.   All those gains gone before you know it.  We have all put in much time and effort to get to where we are now, don’t let that be wasted.  Don’t go back to where you came from before we found each other….We all have so much more to do…so many reasons WHY we should be doing it.  Stay focused!  Heck even if you got to the AO today and the Q/SQ decided to make the call, workout on hold, take cover so as to not risk PAX being injured, you at least got out of bed, got in your car, drove to the AO and were ready to roll…prepared because you didn’t let that voice inside your head convince you to stay in your fartsack.  That little voice telling you to row your boat in the opposite direction gets easier to listen to if you let it…  Don’t let it!!!
