Five trips around the hill

Introduction

It is been a week of tough workouts and PAX were a bit tired.  As a result we decided to double down on a good hill and coupon workout.

Warm-O-Rama

Motivators from 5, Good mornings, imperial walkers, arm circles – mosey with the coupon over to the east side of the hill.

The Thang

This was a five round partner workout.

Round 1 – 150 curls

Once complete, Pax traveled with their partner to the top of the hill (5 burpees), down the other side of the hill (10 Merkins), around the base of the hill (15 big boys), and back to the start (20 squats).

Round 2 – 100 shoulder press  (repeat the trip over and around the hill with exercises)

Round 3 – 75 thrusters (repeat the trip over and around the hill with exercises)

Round 4 – 100 chest press (repeat the trip over and around the hill with exercises)

Round 5 – 150 skull crushers (repeat the trip over and around the hill with exercises)

All groups finished all five rounds….

Circle of Trust

Once we got back to the flags – we had time for a couple of quick mary exercises before 6:00.

 

The COT focused on reframing.  Sometimes in the morning we are tired or we are sore from previous workouts and spend time admiring that instead of being grateful that we are able to come out into the gloom to start our mornings this way.  Some people have circumstances that don’t allow them to enjoy the gifts we have in the gloom and it is important for us to bring that mindset into each morning, especially on the mornings we start to feel a little sorry for ourselves.

It was a great morning – blessed with a beautiful day and a beautiful sunrise.
