Introduction
One of the goals today was to collect cans of food for the Interfaith Food Pantry collection Freon was leading. I thought I might also incorporate this into the workout. I arrived about 4:40 to set up and Sparkler was pulling in at the same time for an EC run. In the parking lot I set up a starting line and 4 markers about 20 paces apart from each other for suicide. The first 3 markers were cones and the marker were 3 cans for each of the 4 PAX. Sparkler waited for me then we went on an EC run through the neighborhood.
Warm-O-Rama
WOR consisted of al stretching:
Round the World x 10 count at each North, East. South, West position
Hamstring stretch (on all 4s, bring one foot at a time up alongside your hands) x 10 count each
Cobra pose x 10 count
Downward Dog pose x 10 count
Calf stretches (L over R, R over L) x 10 count

Thang 1: Suicides in the parking lot. Run from Start to marker 1, back to Start. Run from Start to marker 2, back to Start. Run from Start to marker 3, back to Start. Run from Start to marker 4, grab one can, back to Start. Repeat till all 3 cans were collected.

Circle of Trust
Topic of my COT was stop making excuses. I talked about how I had made excuses not to go to a run club. In January, after having been a part of F3 for over a year, I went to my first run club. Then I made excuses not to Q a run club. I finally checked that box. Then I realized I have never Q’d a RCK, a BD, or Q Source. By end of May I will have checked those boxes as well. Point is, I kept making excuses why I can’t, shoudn’t, or didn’t want to do these things and realized that is a defeating way of thinking. This way of thinking needs to extend beyond just what we do in F3. This menatlity and approach to life really has to permeate everything we do and within all our relationships.
Naked Man Moleskin
I never use to like running, which is one excuse I often used to avoid run club. I’ve now found that as long as I have an accountability partner to push me and run along side me, I actually enjoy running. Thanks Sparkler for being my motivational strength today and pushing me to run more miles, and at a faster pace, than I have in a long time.
