Introduction

Busted back out an old concept with a twist as some guys have recently committed to going to GTE. Felt good to get the sandbags out again and get under some weight

The Thang

We broke into two teams that had two groups of stations. Each team had each pax work through the 7 stations. Once the teams finished the stations we went on a ruck around the parking lot. When the teams returned they switched the group of stations.

 

Group A-

Station 1- Suit case carry

Station 2- Sandbag toss

Station 3- Clean and Press

Station 4- Squats

Station 5- Hand release t merkins

Station 6- Grady Corns

Station 7- Sandbag burpees

 

Group B

Station 1-Farmer Carry

Station 2- Overhead Press

Station 3- Curls

Station 4- Deadlift

Station 5- Lunges

Station 6- Plank

Station 7- Sandbag Burpees

Circle of Trust

Carried over a discussion from earlier this week at the Colosseum. Talked about the idea of perfection and how sometimes we over exaggerate wanting to be perfect and to do everything perfectly. No one today did every rep to perfection nor would I expect us to do that. What we should be doing is pushing ourselves towards perfection, but understand that mistakes happen and sometimes we fall short. We need to make sure that we have given our best effort and that we learn from our shortcomings. If you were not able to do 20 perfect merkins for the first round, did you give your best effort and get in another rep or two that maybe you did not get last time? We strive for perfect in our day to day lives, but it is the mistakes and shortcomings that help us learn and become better. We should always strive to be better today then we were yesterday, and to be better tomorrow than we were today.

It was good to see some of the newer pax out there accelerating and not shying away from a different type of ruck club. Everyone got after it today and we did some hard things. Way to push yourself today MEN!
