Introduction
This morning was a perfect morning to run The Gauntlet. The weather was spot on, it was second to last week of Reindeer Games, and everyone’s competitive spirits were still in full effect. I arrived around 3:50am to begin setup. The HC’s were coming in strong, and I knew we would likely have more PAX joining in then what a single Gauntlet could handle. After getting cones and the equipment I had placed, I joined the 0415 crew on a 3 mile EC Ruck.

Having over 30 HC’s we broke into 6 teams and ran (2) Gauntlets. Captains were appointed based on previous participation with The Gauntlet. This helped YHC keep the men moving without too much explaining.

Circle of Trust
YHC came across the following quote prior to the beatdown, and reflected on its meaning.
“If you are willing to only do what is EASY, then your life will be HARD, but if you do what is HARD, your life will be EASY.” – T. Harv Eker
This can mean many things to different people. To name a few:
Be disciplined and keep to a budget, so you dont have to live check to check
Exercise so you dont grow so weak you cannot care for yourself
Be mindful of your diet so you dont become overweigh and unhealthy
Learn a skill, trade, or diploma, so you can make a living and care for you family
Ended in prayer

Reindeer Games finds a way to bring out the competition in us all and The Gauntlet is the perfect beatdown to help PAX tap into this. Teams were encouraged to push the pace, stick together, and try to “catch” other teams in the Gauntlet. YHC saw many teams jogging instead of walking, sharing reps, and working together to push each other to move faster. Way to embrace the competition fellas!!!
