Introduction
PAX showed up to Three Rivers for a bear attack. All left alive and smelling like men.

The Thang
Goldie Blocks and the Three Bears – PAX stood in a circle formation and did 3 sets of exercises moving in unison (reps between 20-25). 4 blocks were in rotation during the beatdown: Goldie Blocks (regular coupon), baby bear (45lb coupon), momma bear and poppa bear (50lb coupons).
Sets were: Who ate my porridge (bent over row), who sat in my chair (goblet squat) and who laid in my bed (bench press). After all three sets PAX bear crawled out to cone and then back to the circle. Blocks rotated to the right – rinse and repeat for 18min.
Murder Bunny Hideout – Dips on the bench (25 reps), derkins on the bench (25 reps), squat thrusters (25 reps), LBC’s (30 reps), murder bunny out to cone and then back. rinse and repeat for 18min.

Topic: Focusing on what matters to our children.
Thoughts: It’s easy as fathers to start to spend time with your children when they share similar interest. Everyone wants to share their expertise and invest their time with the chip off the ol’ block. However, not every kid is going to be a chip off the ol’ block. They will have experiences and preferences that are unique to them. This is something I’ve been struggling with recently. It’s hard for me to split my attention evenly between my two children and that’s simply because one of my children has interest/hobbies that reflect my own and it’s easier for me to relate. It takes a great deal of energy, thoughtfulness and compassion to invest our time into our children’s interests/hobbies when they differ from our own.
Our children need fathers who are present regardless of the activity. That may mean that we have to spend our afternoon picking flowers, learning to braid hair, playing a sport/game that we have zero interest in, etc. Whatever we find ourselves doing with our children let’s ensure that they know we care about what’s important to them and that we are willing to learn/invest so that the time we spend with them is valuable.
