Circle of Trust
I have been doing a marriage study with my small group from church, which I highly encourage all husbands to do. It has allowed my wife and I to connect and communicate at such a deep level. These studies are for all marriages as all of us are in need of growing and reflecting. This week’s lesson opened with a quote from the author John McGee; “One of the best ways to improve your marriage is to draw a circle around yourself and work on changing everyone inside the circle”.
It is not possible to love your wife the way you promised you would in your vows, or the way God intended you to love her. However, when we work on ourselves and let God in, He helps us to love the best we can.
I feel like I came to F3 for a reason so much bigger than just myself and working out. I think that F3 has focused my attention on inside that circle which in turn has probably saved me from an unhappy and unhealthy marriage, and I know the men in this group have helped me hone the tools to be a leader to my wife and family.
I have said it before and will continue to reiterate – FIGHT complacency! Continue to work on yourself and you will be able to help others in the process.

Thank you to Scat for having my 6, for Woody pushing me in our reps, and for the 7 PAX that ended the work week with me this morning. I will attach some pictures of the marriage curriculum that we are using.
