Introduction
Was planning to run this Q at Da Grizz, but the wife changed her work schedule and I had to switch locations–thanks to Blue Gill for switching with me!
Arrived at The Ridge at 4:50 to set up before meeting the boys for an EC run at 4:55. Dropped off a rope, speaker and my phone by the water tower and rolled into the parking lot at 4:54. Joe Dirt did NOT look happy to be EC-ing. Skidmark was chatty as all can be. Vern was ready to go along with anything. Took a relaxing stroll around the Ridge mostly talking about Woody’s crazy hockey schedule. Got back to the flags before 5:10 and Mr. Belding was waiting, looking ready to get after it. The EC run did nothing to change Joe Dirt’s mood. Knowing that I was going to start with an Indian run, I had a feeling his morning was not going to get better.

Circle of Trust
Sad clown syndrome. To me, the way I hear PAX refer to Sad Clowns is inconsistent and seemingly incorrect. I hear PAX talk about reaching out to Sad Clowns, EHing them to get them to a workout–as if getting right physically will cure Sad Clown syndrome. I believe getting right physically might be a good first stop, but I do not think it is a sufficient cure. I know for a fact there are PAX who work out regularly with us and still feel sad and lonely. Spending time in the gloom is simply not enough. We need meaningful relationships in our lives to defeat Sad Clown Syndrome. My recommendation: talk to people and find out how they spend time outside of the gloom. Do they spend time with friends? Do they have time for themselves? Do they have time to explore their passions? Several months ago Joe Dirt’s company offered him a significant promotion if he moved to Houston. After grinding on the decision, he decided to remain in his present situation because he did not want to leave the relationships he formed in the neighborhood. To me, this is an indication of a very healthy life. Do you want to make a difference in somebody’s life? Then seek them out and find out how they spend their time outside of the gloom–find out what they need outside of the gloom. Dig deep outside the gloom to find the sad clowns.
Naked Man Moleskin
Today we learned that Mr. Belding is an anchor when it comes to tug of war. He cannot be moved.
