Introduction

I arrived onsite at 4:45am for a 2 mile EC run with Toby and John Denver.  Sparkler ran from home to the run club and then ran home.  Bunker and fish sticks cam out at 4:15 for a 4 mile EC ruck.

The Thang

Three stations (parking lot by flags, intersections with path and then path at the road)

Parking lot start with 50 jump rope and 2 merkins then run to the intersection of the path and add 2 merkins so 4 and then run to the path at the road and add 2 more merkins and so forth.  Rinse and Repeat

The PAX ran between 2-3.25 miles and did 100-150 jump ropes and around 130-150 merkins.

Circle of Trust

For my COT, I wanted to start by asking you this question, “What kind of force are you?”

Force is defined as the interaction between two entities or bodies that results in either the acceleration or deceleration of an object.

We interact with people on a daily basis.  M’s, 2.0s, coworkers, and friends just to name a few.  What kind of force are you?    Does this interaction result in a deceleration or an acceleration?  The way we live and our outlook doesn’t just affect us.  It affects so many people around us.  I had a simple reminder of that the other day.  I was working from home while a fence contractor was replacing posts and fixing a few spots of the fence in my yard.  Normally, my dog Bobo would be barking and jumping frantically at the back sliding door because someone was in the yard.  He would be doing that for the entire day.  Last week, I had to go upstairs to make sure he was ok because I didn’t hear a single bark.  He was calmly laying on his rug by the back door looking at them.  It demonstrated to me how my being so f-cked up and anxious for years affected this poor animal.  I’m in a good place in many areas of my life and now he’s calmed down so much.  I’ve noticed my demeanor and outlook on life now has affected my daughter’s in a positive way as well.

I promise you this that I will continue to evaluate and make sure my guardrails are in place and will continue to keep accelerating in all areas of my life.   I challenge you to reflect on this today on the drive home.  Are your interactions with the people in your life resulting in acceleration or deceleration?  If it is deceleration, then what can you do to accelerate that area?

Naked Man Moleskin

We welcomed back Sweet 16 for his second workout.  Foundation informed him that “he didn’t know how to tell him this but he’s kind of a big deal”.
