Introduction

I had so much fun at Foreclosure’s Fat Tuesday black diamond last year, that we decided to team up this year for double Q bootcamp / black diamond at Black Rock this year.  Unfortunately, Foreclosure got injured and had to give up his Q.  But fortunately, Sparkler scooped it up on short notice.  I led a core destroyer boot camp to get us ready for Fat Tuesday, with the plan to have Sparkler’s black diamond join in with us for Mary at the end, with an awesome group coffeeteria afterwards.

Warm-O-Rama

Jog in place for the introduction and disclaimer.

SSH OYO for the F3 mission, core principles, and credo.

Warm-up stretches: Good mornings, helicopters, abe vigodas, imperial walkers, WMH, harry rockettes

Site Q, Ringo, then went over the count and safety stuff.

 

The Thang

Thang 1 at the flags: Balance holds (knee pull, quad hold, figure 4) and coupon work (love sacks, flutter kicks with block hold, and plank with coupon drag).

Mosey to school playground loop.

Thang 2: Core circuit.  3 exercises followed by a short mosey around the loop.

–Mountain climbers, shoulder taps, catalina wine mixers

–Supermans, reach backs, swimmers

–WWI, civil wars, X factors

–Rowers, gas pumpers, 20s

–Inchworms with Little orphan annies, Dancing Bears, and Nolan Ryans.

Thang 3: CBCC with the Black Diamond Crew.  10 crunch exercises x 20 reps each, with no breaks.

Naked Man Moleskin

Coffeeteria featured paczkis from Donut Den.  Donut Den opened at 4am, and I got there at 3:55am for my pre-order and the line was already 10 people deep.  Thanks Ringo for having our 6 today, and thanks Foreclosure for bringing out coffee while taking a break from workouts to heal up the injury.
