Black Coffee analogy
Imagine walking into a café.
You want a latte; But instead of saying that, you tell the barista:
“I just don’t want black coffee”
The barista pauses. Confused.
“So…what do you want?”
And you repeat:
“I just don’t want black coffee”
See the problem?
You never placed an order, you only described what you dislike
You see that’s how most people talk to life
“I don’t want stress”
“I don’t want to be broke”
“I don’t want to feel stuck”
This is not clarity
That is fear trying to negotiate.
Life does not respond to avoidance
It responds to direction.
When your focus stays on what you are running from, you keep reinforcing it
It is like trying to walk ahead while staring at what is behind you
The shift is simple but uncomfortable
Not: “I don’t want stress”; But “I choose peace and clarity”
Not: “I don’t want to be broke”; But “I choose abundance and opportunity”
Not: “I don’t want to feel stuck”; But “I choose growth, movement and purpose”
Your life becomes what you order.
Speak like someone who is choosing, not surviving.
Naked Man Moleskin
With this cold weather it’s been tough to get a large crowd out anymore, sometimes I wish Reindeer Games was all year long so we’d have 25 PAX at each AO and so Dauber & Dog House would be running on fumes all over the country chasing fake points.
Much appreciation to Party in a Bottle, Dear Abby, Wingstop and SQ extraordinaire Pop-Tart for making it out this morning in not so favorable weather. I got to find out a little more about each PAX. I found out that PiaB enjoyed the Monkey Taps we did for Mary, I found out that Hank Hill and Hat Trick have some tough competition when Wingstop is around when it comes to gas (I about died being next to him), I learned that Dear Abby is a huge Swifty and likes to cuddle with fellow PAX to stay warm, and I learned that Pop-Tart has been a great addition to F3P, constantly stepping up leading whether it be Q’ing, volunteering to SQ, or just trying to get other PAX out in the gloom.
Overall I think the workout went well, kept us warm and we had some fun mumblechatter to get us through to Recover-Recover.
