When a surfer gets up on a wave, they enjoy the present moment, even though they know the wave is eventually going to end. They’re able to enjoy the wave with the wisdom and awareness, that there are always more waves coming. And, they know the most important truth: you can’t catch any waves sitting on the shore, you have to put yourself in the water.
