Introduction
A few weeks ago, I noticed Jellystone and I had about the same number of posts leading up to 1000, so we coordinated to both hit that milestone on the same day and do a co-Q. We both have some signature exercises, so we decided to build the workout around those. After a few planning beers in Jellystone’s driveway the night before, we were ready to go. We both showed up early to set-up and then joined the big EC crew for the burger run.
Warm-O-Rama
Jog in place while I went over the introduction and disclaimer. SSH OYO while I went over the F3 mission, core principles, and credo. I then led the group in an extended world’s greatest stretch. Jellystone led us in Harry Rockettes. Then we kicked it over to our site-Q, Nemo, for the count and safety talk.
The Thang
We split into two groups (Jellystone and Chum Buckets are the captains) for a running gauntlet. One team has each member of their team do all 5 exercises in the gauntlet, and when complete, they do burpees together until the other team comes back from their run around the soccer field (about 1/2-mile). The team that completes the most burpees takes bragging rights. Each team was able to do 3 rounds in the gauntlet, and Jellystone’s team came out on top. The 5 exercises in the gauntlet were Colt 45s, 25 merkins, 25 yard bear crawl, 25 yard sandbag toss, and 25 yard farmer carry.
We then did a team vs. team tunnel of love in the wet grass, even though Jellystone assured everyone we wouldn’t do it.
Finished things up with the Chum Bucket Crunch Circuit. 10 different crunch exercises, 20 reps each, with no rest in-between.
Circle of Trust
We both talked about things that inspire us and to surround ourselves with good people.
Naked Man Moleskin
Thanks Nemo for having our six today, and thanks to Zimmer for the hot azz coffee.
