Legacy. Today my twin boys turned 11. As they close out their elementary school time I have seen them grow & change so much. They have developed their own identities & navigated through some good & tough times. You have heard me talk about the difference in my boys, one being me reincarnated with the love of sports & his OCD for organization while the other is free spirit with no care for time & a love of acting/dance/music. I constantly find myself having to be intentional with my free spirit. He pushes me in ways that get me out of my comfort zone. Not always do I do my best but I tell each of them every day & every night how much I love them. Legacies can be built in many ways but in my view, none are more important than the legacy you leave with your kids. Are you teaching them to be good humans, to have an abundant mind set of Living 3rd, & that they should love all not being afraid to be vulnerable. My challenge to all of you is simple if you have 2.0’s or just nieces & nephews every chance you get, no matter how frustrated or angry you become, tell them you love them. Aye!
Dear lord thank you for this opportunity to wake up early in the gloom & experience your greatness. We are humbled for the opportunity you give us every day to be in your glory & serve you as leaders in our community. Watch over those that are not as fortunate as us & give them healing & strength in their struggles. In your name we pray. Amen!
