Introduction
Provided a little history lesson on the game of Loteria.
It originated in Italy in the mid 1700’s, and it was introduced into Mexico in 1769 by Spanish colonists. It’s been a traditional game played by Mexican families even since. My family continues to play it to this day.

The Thang
The Thang
Took Loteria (The Mexican version of Bingo) and turned into a beat down.
The Rules:
Split into 4 teams.
Each team receives one tabla (board) that has 16 random images, the tabla remains at the flags.
There are 13 stations throughout the AO.
At each station there is a cardboard with exercises, each team travels together as a group and performs the exercise before they can turn the cardboard to reveal the card. The objective is to match the cards to the 4 corners of the teams tabla.
If the team reveals the card and it does not match one of their 4 corners, they can proceed to the next station. But if it does match they must return to the flags where their tabla is and they must perform 5 Imperial Blockees before placing a token on the image that they matched. Once they complete the 5 Imperial Blockees they head back out to search out the remaining corners.
Each member of the team is to lead an exercise, in rotating fashion.

Does anyone have a home away from home?
Somewhere where you go off to and just let loose and relax, where you can put your guard down and just be yourself. Where you can take a break from your responsibilities. Well that’s how I feel when I come to Chaminwood, where I don’t have to be the “Nantan”. It originates from the culture that was created from the previous SLT that is being maintained by the current SLT in Chaminwood.
I want to praise the current SLT for maintaining the region, I know it’s been hard, you’ve had your ups and downs and there’s been some rough patches. I know that some of you are doing two to three times the work, being on SLT, Q’ing and being site Q’s. It’s a lot to handle. I have a few close friends that were previously on SLT and I tell them, once you’ve been on SLT, you’ll always be on SLT. We need you guys to continue to lead men, your responsibilities do not end after your term. Let’s continue to lead and step in to help when needed, there are 2 men here from Plainfield that served as site Q’s, jumped in on SLT and are back on site Q duties! For the newer guys, let’s keep that fire burning, let’s step up into leading, if you have ideas that’ll contribute to the mission, a 1st/2nd/3rd F event, don’t be shy about leading an event, the men of F3 will support you.
