Naked Man Moleskin

Was going to talk about Dr. Dre since today was his birthday but something happened yesterday I felt the need to share.

  • Yesterday I was shocked & taken back to learn a close colleague of mine tragically died on Sunday night. His wife, who was a doctor, came home from an evening shift at work to find him laying in their driveway.  He had slipped & hit his head & died.  We hear it so often about never knowing when your time is but it never fails that it makes you take stock in your life.  I also believe that things happen for a reason & it was a note/challenge that I received from a man at my Sunday Bible Study group, Robert Sanchez (AKA Spit Valve).  In this little card he gave everyone was an action to take on & with it a motivational quote.  The quote in mine was, “Persistence in goodness leads to divine reward” the actionable task was, “Choose a good deed to consistently practice this month”.  My actionable task is to choose 1 individual everyday to call or send an email to giving them an uplifting message about how they have impacted me & how grateful I am for them.  Something I did not do with this colleague who just passed.  Take the time men, recognize those that have impacted you positively b/c you never know when the last time you might have a chance to interact with them.  AYE!
