Introduction

It was a blustery cold morning at a warm -2 degrees but the silver lining was no wind.  The men came well bundled & we got off to a slow start as YHC was in some leg pain from doing squats & dead lifts on Wednesday.

  • Recently read a book about John Wooden. Many things stood out to me in this book but wanted to chare a couple today:
    • “Be patient with yourself”. As men I think many of us fall into this trap. No matter what we do its not enough. We cant accomplish enough, parent well enough, or do anything well enough to suit ourselves. We think others are better than us, we compare ourselves to others & this can be especially painful b/c many times we are comparing out of context (ex. Social media).  We are all humans we fail.  Give yourself the grace to fail & be patient with yourself.
    • If your life is not going exactly the way you’ve planned that’s okay you’ve got plenty of company. For those that are Christian followers remember God isn’t finished with you yet, so be patient, he’s got you.
