The Thang
We moved across to the parking lot behind the school to do a modified version of “The Murph” in a deconstructed format.
Round 1 – 20 rows, 40 merkins, 60 squats (weighted if you can) – Run .4 miles around the school
Rounds 2-5 – Rinse and Repeat
Quite a few PAX got to or through Round 4. Time did not allow us to complete the entire workout as we stopped a few minutes early to do an emergency action drill. Thank you to the PAX that planned and participated in that exercise.
At 5:58 we did head back for a couple of minutes of mary until time was called.
Circle of Trust
The COT focused on the importance of thanking someone in your life who has served.
I shared my gratitude for my nephew who earned his wings in the US Navy over the weekend. He will now move to Jacksonville to complete his training on a helicopter. I am incredibly proud of the fact that he set a goal years ago to do this. As an uncle, I could not be more thankful to have incredible men like Noah serving and protecting our country.
I ended with a quote that reminded me of the day we honored. “The world is changed by our example – not our opinion”. Thank you to all those who have served and put this quote into practice. All PAX are challenged to live by these words in our daily lives.
Naked Man Moleskin
Thank you to those that planned the Emergency Response Exercise. It was a great first exercise to make sure we have some guidance in place should it be needed.
